Money has been tight these last few years so it makes for celebrating our anniversary a bit more interesting. This year we decided to celebrate with nature.
We stayed up at the mountain house while Aunt Dawn watched the kids back home.
We went for a hike ..... on snowy wet ground.
It wasn't too bad.

I got to enjoy some sun and do some reading while Aaron fished.

12 inch Brown or Brook Trout

Fishing in the Arkansas River

These are some panoramic views that I took when we hiked to the peak of a mountain.

We were in the Sangre National Forest here.

And of course there was some target practice.
We ate some great meals, stayed up late and slept in.
I taught Aaron a new game, Rummikub, and we had a blast playing.
We really wanted to stay an extra day but alas responsibility called us back home.
Darn that conscious!
